With Junior Sammy Contractors Limited and JUSAMCO Pavers having successfully established themselves at the pinnacle of general contracting and paving in the country, the Junior Sammy Group then set its sights on the crane and heavy transprot arena.
In 2001, the Group acquired Goopeesingh General Contractors Limited, a small but well-established crane company located in Trinidad’s southern sector.
In order to build capacity, the group invested over TT$300M in plant and equipment upgardes and re-launched the company as Sammy’s Multilift Services Ltd.

Longest Load
In keeping with our policy to be always at the forefront in providing our clients with the latest in proven, cutting edge technology, in March 2009, Sammy’s Multilift Services successfully moved the longest load ever on T & T for Air Liquide.
That job involved the use of a specialist piece of equipment designed and built in Europe by Cometto, the same company which built the modular trailer used to transport the Space Shuttle from its hangar to its launch pad in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

SMS Breaks Records
“September 2009, in an operation spanning 48 continuous hours and necessitating the closing of several secondary roads in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, SMS lifted and transported a record-breaking 575 tons, at a plant in Pt. Lisas. This is the heaviest load ever lifted and transported by a local company in T&T to date.”
